
RAIL LINK TAKES OFF COMMUTERS LEAVE the Airport Rail Link on its first day of commercial operations yesterday. Bangkok’s third mass transit route started charging Bt15 for a one-way trip on the City Line and Bt100 for a round trip on the Express Line between Makkasan and Suvarnabhumi Airport. Over the past two weeks, the service ran 20,000 trips a day. Now that operating hours have been extended from 8pm to midnight, riders are expected to surge to 50,000 per day soon.
